Women Grievance Redressal Committee
(Internal Complaint Committee-ICC)
An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is formed as mandatory body at Gramgeeta Mahavidyalaya, Chimur as per the UGC Regulations and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013. This committee has been established to handle complaints of sexual harassment against employees and students.
Objectives
- To provide safe and secure atmosphere for all the students, faculty members and all the staff, free from harassment, violence and any discrimination.
- To provide preventive measures for sexual harassment and all other forms of gender-based discrimination on campus through a zero-tolerance policy.
- To serve as neutral body to receive, to enquire and to resolve the complaints in a confidential, transparent and fair manner.
- To offer counselling and support to the affected individuals.
- ICC aims to empower women by providing a platform for their thoughts regarding and ensuring that they can succeed in their career and education.
Functions
- ICC organises awareness programmes regarding gender equity, women’s safety, and sexual harassment.
- Installed a complaint box for any related complaints and suggestions in the college.
- If any written complaint receives of sexual harassment from students, faculty, and staff, then fair inquiry will do and the matter sorts by a time-bound procedure as prescribed by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act and UGC regulations.
- ICC make sure the confidentiality of the individual throughout the process.
