The Department of Microbiology at. Gramgeeta College, Chimur. During the teaching of every topic of Microbiology, the infectious disease correlation is emphasized upon so that the students can apply their knowledge in the diagnosis of Infectious disease.

         In the practical curriculum, a student is introduced to Case-based learning along with applied topics being taught by horizontal integration i.e. by interacting with the clinicians. The faculty interests include basic research on the molecular biology of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms, microbial pathogenesis, and diagnostic methods. The laboratory of the department offers a variety of testing methods in diagnosis of infectious diseases.
