Department of Botany

         Department of Botany established in the year 2009. Botany department of Gramgeeta Mahavidyalaya, Chimur offers under-graduate programme with the support of two teachers. The department focuses on teaching learning and appropriately combines classical teaching to modern digital teaching tools to encourage students understanding subject.

         The department is dedicated to teach basics of plant sciences to advanced techniques in plant biotechnology. The laboratory of department of botany is well equipped with basic instruments. The department provides learning resources such as charts, specimens, slides, digital herbarium and facilities like internet which help the students in independent learning. In addition students have easy access to reference books, e-content available in the college library.

          The botanical excursions are organized in view to study wild flora, biodiversity, forest ecosystem and instil research knowledge to the students by visiting prestigious institute.
