About Us
The red ribbon is a global symbol for the fight against HIV/AIDS awareness as well as it is globally recognized for multiple Sclerosis, drunken driving prevention, drug prevention. Government of India was established Red Ribbon Clubs to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and associated myths among the youth and empower them as per educator. The Red Ribbon Club in Gramgeeta College came into effect in December 2019.
Red Ribbon Club of Gramgeeta College was visualize to inspire charity mind among all the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy life styles, donating blood to all the needy by promotion of Regular voluntary blood donation.
Red Ribbon Club Events
Objectives
- Aware youth with accurate, to the point and adequate information and increase their level of awareness about HIV AIDS, STI and other related issues and its prevention in the community.
- Sensitize the youth regarding care and support needs of people affected with HIV AIDS and instill in them the spirit to reduce the stigma and discrimination against them.
- To works towards promotion of life skills to bring about behavioral change among the youth.
- Enable youth to recognize and understandsituation of exploitation and abuse.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.
- To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.
